DAISY DAILY FOR WEEK OF OCTOBER 31, 2016

Our Fourth Graders at the State Capitol on Friday.

Daisy Staff,

Wishing you well as we end the month of October at school.  Please remember that:
  • We will hold our Costume Parade at 2 pm on October 31 in the front circle.  Please be prepared to bring your classes down at that time.  We'll announce by calling down Pre-K, K, 1, 2, 3, 4 in sequential order.  Families will be asked to check in outside at a sign-in table and we will have a trooper with us as well.  Please let me know ASAP if you have any students whose parents have requested that they not participate as we are offering an art/movement alternative activity.  I sent a reminder to parents over the weekend regarding guidelines for costumes, etc., and have personally reached out to a few families who may have concerns as well.  Please remember that the "no masks, no violent themes, no clowns" rules go for adults as well as students.  As always, please let me know any concerns that arise : )
  • Our Fourth-Grade enjoyed a successful field trip to our State Capitol on Friday.  Thanks to our teachers who planned and chaperoned this trip, so timely in nature as our Presidential Election is upon us.
  • Daisy will host a team from Emergency Management for a "table-top" drill on Wednesday.  This state-required meeting/drill will take place in the conference room and will not impact students nor staff.  I will be involved in the meeting and am grateful that we can host this meeting at Daisy this year, so that I can be on the premises and available to you.
  • Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!

Ruth
