Daisy Daily for the Week of March 18, 2019

"Rock Your Socks" on Thursday, March 21st, for
 International Down Syndrome Awareness Day!

Daisy Friends,

Please plan to join us for "Light on Westbrook" Photographic Art Show at Oxford Academy this Sat., March 23, 6-8 pm,  to benefit the Summer Meals Program for children under 18 years of age at Daisy. Flyers are in the staff lunch room and tickets are available in the office. Last day to enter photographs into this show is March 20th.  Please consider entering this fun photographic art show and joining in for a wonderful evening for a wonderful cause on Saturday!

Important notes about this week:
  • Daisy Book Fair: Helen Sweet has put together another amazing event to bring more books into our students' lives.  "Browsing" will take place on Monday, with scheduled shopping times Tuesday through Thursday. Scholarships are available so that EVERY child goes home with a book!  Family Night will take place on Wednesday from 4-8 pm.  Please refer to Helen's e-mail for all the details.
  • Down Syndrome Awareness Day will take place on Thursday, March 21, the international day for DS Awareness.  We have decorated the showcase in the main entry with this theme and flyers will go out to staff and families re: a "Rock Your Socks" event on that day.  Please note that this is an awareness day only, with NO donations taken.
  • As always, if you need to be absent for any reason (Professional Development, sick or personal day), besides requesting a substitute through Kelly or Delta-T as appropriate, please e-mail both Alicia and me, so that we can plan appropriate coverage.
