Daisy Daily for the Week of April 19, 2021

Daisy Staff,

Hoping that everyone enjoyed a restful, healthy and happy April Vacation!  Looking forward to welcoming our students and staff back to school on Monday, April 19.

Please the take time to read the detailed email that I sent out to staff re: Earth Day Activities at Daisy, which will take place during the next two weeks.  If classroom teachers haven't yet signed up for outside planting and gardening activities, please do so ASAP.

Many, many thanks to MaryJo Noonan and PTO parents for all the work they put into setting up these activities over the break!

Please also consider getting our students (and staff) involved in the Daisy Dash Around Town, which runs through April 25.  If you'd like to log miles with your class at recess or mask breaks, please know that the following routes around school are approximately one-quarter mile:

  • One lap around the soccer field
  • One lap around the permiter of our school

A few important notes about this week:
  • We will welcome Lynda Fisher back to school on Monday, after her surgery.
  • Unfortunately, Tay Price Flanagan will be absent through the rest of this school year. We have posted for a long-term Special Education Substitute Teacher, which we will fill ASAP.  We are so very appreciative of all the hard work and attention that Nancy Guindon has given our students in and out of Room 24 during this time.
  • Teachers, please continue to check the Remote Learner Roster, which is updated daily, and which I sent out earlier today.
  • After-School Karate (through Park & Rec.) starts on Mondays & Wednesdays of this week.  We will send out a list of participants. Please send permission notes/messages re: students attending to office.
