"DAISY DAILY" WEEK OF DEC. 21
Snowpeople creations made in pre-school.
For your information, I sent this message to Daisy Families & Staff via School Messenger on Sunday regarding the schedule for the week ahead..................
Dear Daisy Families & Friends,
As we approach the holiday season, I just wanted to remind you of some scheduled events this week at Daisy Ingraham School.
Please remember that Wednesday, December 23, is an early dismissal day with students in Grades K through 4 dismissed at 1 pm. Lunch will be served at school, but there will be no Homework Club after school. In addition, the shortened Pre-School Schedule for that day is: AM session 8:30-10:30 am and PM session 11:00 am-1:00 pm.
This week at school is designated as "Spirit Week" for all staff members and students who choose to participate. Each day of the week features a different theme.
MONDAY, Dec. 21, is "School Spirit Day." Students and staff are encourage to wear Daisy Spirit Wear or anything featuring our Westbrook colors of purple and white.
TUESDAY, Dec. 22, is "Festive Sweater/Sweatshirt Day." Anyone who chooses to participate in this is welcome to do so. Another option is to wear the colors of red/green.
WEDNESDAY, Dec. 23, is "School-Wide Pajama Day" for students and staff. Many classrooms feature special activities throughout the week and we will gather as a school community for our traditional "Sing-A-Long" at 12:15 pm on Wed., Dec. 23. Family members who would like to join us are encouraged to sign in at the office in advance.
Our students and most school staff will be on Holiday Vacation from December 24 through January 1. Our school office will remain open during that time, except for the designated holiday days, and I will be available to families and staff.
We look forward to welcoming our students back to school on Monday, January 4.
I extend my warmest wishes to each of you for a safe, happy and fulfilling holiday season. As always, please contact me with any concerns you have.
Sincerely,
Ruth W. Rose
Principal, Daisy Ingraham School
I'm not planning on holding Grade-Level Meetings during the shortened week ahead, except as needed and requested by teams. If you have concerns about anything, PLEASE let me know ASAP.
