"DAISY DAILY" FOR WEEK OF MARCH 14, 2016

With this lovely spring weather, it's tough to believe it's only the middle of March!

Hope that everyone enjoyed a wonderful weekend and hope that preparation of Report Cards did not consume too much of your weekend.

A few notes about this week:

• As you know, we have Early Dismissal for Students on Tuesday, March 15 at 1 pm.  I'm looking forward to sharing more with you about Restorative Circles during our Professional Development from 1:15-3:15 pm in the cafe.

• Our WECC/WELL Forum will take place at Daisy on Wednesday, March 16, from 4:45-8:00 pm.  We're expecting a full house with 100 pre-registered for this event.  If you'd like to donate a book for our Daisy Gift Basket of Books (which will be a door prize), please let me know.

• Report Cards go home with students on Wednesday.  As you review and proof your Reports, please pay special attention that scores are entered in Trimester 2.  If you need any adjustments, please let Ben know, as he has assisted many through this PowerSchool update.  As always, if you have certain Report Cards that you'd like me to review, please let me know.

• We will have Grade-Level Team Meetings at the regularly scheduled times this week.  Due to early dismissal on Tuesday, which is a "D" Day, I'll schedule a mutually convenient time with 4th Grade for our meeting.

• Kindergarten registration will take place this Thursday and Friday, March 17-18.  We've also added two more dates over the next two weeks to accommodate our incoming families' needs.

I so appreciate the thoughtful work that everyone  put into our Professional Development time last Friday.  We were certainly "up to our elbows" in Math and Language Arts materials.  I certainly contend that this is the best form of PD; that, which we work on together.......
