"Fancy Staff"
September 17, 2017
Thanks to all for joining in the fun of "Spirit Week" last week!
Here's a look at the week ahead:
- Several staff members will be involved in the Restorative Practices Training on Monday and Tuesday of this week at Westbrook High School. Please check the daily e-mail re: staff absences and coverage each morning.
- Please keep in mind that this training is for ALL staff members and our superintendent and I both encourage you to sign up for a future training this school year if you haven't already.
- Please also know that I'll be attending this two-day training at WHS this week as well. I'll start and end the day at Daisy and will be available as needed throughout the day.
- In Grade-Level Meetings this week, we'll finalize our Assessment Calendars.
- The first Daisy PTO Meeting of the school year will take place on Tuesday evening at 7 pm in the cafe. Please join us if you can.
- Our first planning meeting for our Breakfast Meetings for EL Families will take place this Wednesday morning before school. (Please consult our Staff Calendar for details.)
- School Photos will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Classroom teachers, please be sure that you've signed up for a time slot for your class. All staff members who don't have an ID card, or who need a new one, should stop by the "pit" for a photo.
- Our Open House Breakfasts will kick off this week, starting on Thursday at 8:30 am with Kindergarten. Please consult the Staff Calendar link for a complete list of all Open House Breakfasts. Invitations have been sent out to families.
Please continue to consult our Staff Calendar for all the important dates/times/events..........at:

RESTORATIVE PRACTICES MINUTE:
The fundamental premise of restorative practices is that people are happier, more cooperative and productive, and more likely to make positive changes when those in positions of authority do things with them, rather than to them or for them.
