Daisy Friends,

Thanks to all who helped to make our 100th Day of School so special for our students.  It was so much fun to re-cap how much learning has taken place in our first 100 days of school.  Thanks so much to our Math Specialist, Lesley Harrington, for creating a wonderful memory for us all in a slide show and for putting together the assembly to celebrate 100 days of learning.

DAISY STAFF CALENDAR

Here are a few highlights:

• Grade-level Team Meetings will take place in the office as scheduled.
• We will honor two of our students at the CAS Elementary Celebration of the Arts on the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Aqua Turf:
• Patrick Pluck for Art
• Alyssa Leandri for Music
• The BOE Meeting will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 7 pm at Westbrook High School.
• The PTO will offer Valentine treats for all staff members in the Staff Room on Wed., Feb. 14, throughout the day.
• We have a Staff Meeting on Wed., Feb. 14, from 3:15-4:15 pm in the cafe.  At 4 pm, those volunteering for Literacy Night will have a final run-through/practice.
• Literacy Night will take place on Thursday, Feb. 15, from 5:45-7:30 pm.  Many thanks to our Literacy Committee and to ALL staff members who are volunteering that evening.  It will be an event to remember!!!
• February Vacation will take place from Feb. 19 through 23.  Mon., Feb. 19, is a holiday (Presidents Day) and the school will be closed.  The office will be open Feb. 20 through 23 and Daisy will also host the Park/Rec. Dept's Vacation Camp during that week.
• Our Book Fair, "Paws for Reading" will take place the week after vacation, Feb. 26 through March 2, with Family Night planned for Wed., Feb. 28.
• "Read Across America" will take place on Friday, March 2, and the theme of "Paws for Reading" will coordinate nicely with our Book Fair.
