Daisy Daily for the Week of December 17, 2018

Thanks to all who were able to make it to our Daisy Holiday Gathering on Friday Evening.  So good to see so many there!

Here's a look at the week ahead:
  • The week of Dec. 17 has been designated "Spirit Week" with each day featuring a different theme:
    • Monday--"Happy Holidays from the Family" (Wear Your Favorite Flannels)
    • Tuesday--"Candy Cane Tuesday" (Wear Red, White and/or Green)
    • Wednesday--"Island of Toys" (Dress as your favorite toy)
    • Thursday--"Ringing in the New Year" (Dress to Impress)
    • Friday---"Silent Night"--School-wide Pajama Day with Traditional Holiday Sing-a-long at 12:15 pm.  (Third-grade classes are invited to join an earlier lunch wave so that all lunches will be completed by 12:15 pm.)
  • Of course, these Spirit Days are optional for students and adults.  Please join in the fun, if you desire!
  • Our Daisy PTO will offer a Holiday Luncheon for all staff members in the Staff Lunch Room during lunch waves on Thursday.  Please come and enjoy!
  • Students will be dismissed at 1 pm on Friday, Dec. 21st, for the Holidays and will return to school on Wed., Jan. 2.  The school office will remain open over the holiday break except for the holidays of Dec. 24, 25, 26 and Jan. 1.

Just a word of caution as we navigate the busy week ahead.  The holidays can bring additional stress to students, families and colleagues alike.  Please take the time to assess how those around you are doing and feel free to pull back on a few things to reduce the pressure, if indicated.  If you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Wishing all a wonderful week ahead and a most wonderful holiday!
Hope that you have a bit of time for rest and relaxation as well as celebrating with friends and family.
Warmly,
Ruth

Thanks to those who decided to add some festivity
to doors, bulletin boards, etc!
