Daisy Daily for the Week of April 22, 2019


Joe is busy setting up for our Annual Art Show, which will take place this Friday evening at Daisy.

Hope that everyone enjoyed a wonderful April Break and comes back refreshed for the final eights weeks of the school year!

Monday, April 22, is an "A Day" and kicks off our celebration of Earth Day/Week.  Please pay special attention to all the Earth Day events on our DAISY STAFF CALENDAR over the next two weeks, especially for those events that take place Monday morning, namely:
  • Our AM Pre-Schoolers, First Graders and K Students will be involved in "Amy's Active Learning" with a "Sprouting in the Garden" theme, on Monday, April 22, in the cafe, as follows:
    • 8:30-9:30 am - AM Pre-K + all 1st Grade (about 50 students)
    • 9:30-10:30 am - Three Kindergarten Classes (46 students) 

Other important events this week:
  • Grade 3 students and staff will take a field trip to the State Capitol on Monday, April 22.
  • The Public Hearing on the Budget will take place on Monday, April 22, at 7 pm at the Westbrook Town Hall.
  • All-School Earth Day Assembly re: "A Place Called Hope" will take place on Thursday, April 25, from 1:45-2:45 pm in the Gym.
  • Our Annual Art Show/Ice Cream Social will take place this Friday, April 26, from 5:30-7:30 pm.
