Daisy Daily for the Week of January 27, 2020

Morning Meeting in Preschool.

Daisy Staff,

Hope that everyone enjoyed a wonderful weekend.

A few reminders re: the week/s ahead:
  • Some Grade-Levels will continue the review of student data in meetings this week, including first grade on Tuesday.
  • The Daisy Leadership team will meet on Tuesday (Jan. 28) from 8:00-8:25 am, followed by PLC Leaders/Lead Teacher/Administration from 8:30-9:00 am.
  • This Wednesday (Jan. 29) was scheduled to be a school-wide PLC, but since we want to continue the work in Math and Reading PLCs with Progress Monitoring in Tier 1, the structure will look a little different.  Members of the Special Education Team are asked to join their grade level teams in either the Math or Reading PLCs and Ruth will have a separate plan for Special Area Team members.
  • Five Daisy staff members (along with other staff members from WMS & WHS) will participate in Restorative Practices Training on January 30-31.  Details re: coverage will be forthcoming.
  • The Special Area Team will meet this Friday, Jan. 31, from 8:00-8:30 am.
  • Please remember that Morning Bus Duty/Car Drop-off Duty starts at 8:15 am.  We start unloading the mini-bus at 8:20 am and all buses by 8:25 am.  Our Bus Drivers have been instructed not to open the door and unload students without adults at each bus door, to assist in the safe unloading of students.
  • Thanks so much to all staff members for ensuring a safe and efficient Lockdown Drill.  The next one will not be announced in advance.

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THE FOLLOWING EVENTS:

  • Parent/Teacher Conferences: Feb. 4 & 6.  Students will be dismissed at 1 pm on both days.
  • 100th Day of School (tentative):  Feb. 5, 2020
  • February Recess: Feb. 17-18, 2020
