Daisy Daily for the Week of January 6, 2020

Hope that everyone enjoyed a good weekend!

Here are a few reminders about the week/s ahead:
  • All Grade-Level Teams will meet this week, as scheduled, for grade-specific items.  All Grade-Level Teams will meet during the week of Jan. 20, to review student data.
  • Jeff Sullivan's first-grade class will begin weekly Swim Lessons at the Y this Mon., Jan. 6, from 9:10-10:30 am.
  • Daisy Leadership Team will meet on Wed., Jan. 8, at 8 am, followed by a meeting of PLC Leaders, Lead Teacher and Administration at 8:30 am.
  • Daisy Faculty Meeting is scheduled for Wed., Jan. 8, from 3:15-4:15 pm in the cafe.
  • Thursday, Jan. 9, is a "B" Day; therefore fourth-graders will have Before-School Band at 7:45 am.
  • The Special Area Team will meet at 8 am on Fri., Jan. 10, in the office.
  • The WECC Early Childhood Meeting will take place on Friday, Jan. 10, 10:30-11:30 am, in the Pit Office.
  • Please make an opportunity to review the protocols of a Lockdown Drill with students and fellow colleagues as we plan to practice this during the week of Jan. 6.  Please review the charts that are posted by all classroom doors.  If you are in need of a copy of a chart, please contact the office.
  • Westbrook Board of Education Meeting is scheduled for Tues., Jan. 14, at 7 pm in the WHS Library.
  • Daisy PTO will meet next Wed., Jan. 15, at 6 pm in the cafe.
  • There is no school on Monday, Jan. 20, due to the Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday.
  • Department-Based PLCs will take place on Wed., Jan. 22, after school.

Thanks so much to all for donating gently-used books to our "Read to Grow" campaign, to benefit siblings of new babies across the State of Connecticut!

Teachers, please remember to send students to the office to choose "Birthday Books" near or close to their birthdays!
