Daisy Friends,

Thanks so much to EVERYONE who contributed to the success of our third- and fourth-grade students completing SBAC Assessments during the last two weeks.  We will have make-ups on Monday, May 21, and Tuesday, May 22, if necessary, and then we will have completed our SBAC Testing.  We are so proud of our students who took this in stride, reflecting a large part on the supportive adults around them.  : )

As we start a new week, please note these updates:

• We will host a special visit from the Harlem Rockets Basketball Team on Tuesday, May 23, from 1:00-1:45 pm in the gym.  This assembly is for all grade levels and features a very positive message about being  respectful and working hard and is delivered in a fun, engaging way.  The Harlem Rockets game has been rescheduled to 6:30 pm Tuesday evening at WHS and tickets purchased earlier will be honored for this game.  Tickets are also available at the door.  This is a fundraiser for WMS PTO.
• Our Grade 1 and 2 In-School Concert has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, from 8:55-9:35 am.  Please welcome any parents to this concert who were unable to attend the evening performance last week.  All students and staff members are invited to this concert.
• Classroom Teachers/Special Education Teachers/Support Staff: We will work on student placement for next year during team meetings this week.  Please come prepared with completed student placement cards and any concerns/recommendations that you have.
• FIELD DAY is this Friday, May 26, and the weather is looking fabulous!  Every staff member is involved in this very successful event and assignments will be forthcoming from Ryan Percival.  Let's hope we get it in this Friday because our rain date is June 13th, due to so many other scheduled events from now til the end of the year.
