Thanks
to all for your part in helping ensure a very successful 4th Grade
Promotion on Friday.  We had great
attendance from families who expressed that they enjoyed the ceremony and even
the downpour didn’t dampen the spirits of our students at the celebration
afterwards as most of the activities moved into the gym.
Thanks
also for the great attendance and camaraderie at both the Staff Luncheon and
Retirement Gathering at Rocky’s Aqua.
What a wonderful send-off for our valued retirees!
We’re
in the final stretch and, as you know, tomorrow is the final day for students.
Here’s everything you need
to know about the final days:
Monday, June 19---Students'
Final Day; 1 pm Dismissal; No Lunches Served in Cafe.
- 9 am--"Step Up" Visit for incoming K-3 graders during
     4th grade specials.
 - Incoming 4th graders have already
visited, so 4th grade teachers have offered to take current 3rd
graders out to recess during this time.
 - I sent out the Class Lists in a Google doc to
all.  It would be great if support
staff/specialists could assist classroom teachers in helping students
find next year’s classrooms, especially for the younger students.
 - Teri Paulsen will be coming in to greet students
      in first grade.
 - 10:15-10:45 am--LAST GOOD NEWS ASSEMBLY in Gym--To highlight the
Governor's Summer Reading & Math Challenges for Grades K-4.
 - This time has been adjusted so as not to
      interfere with specials.
 - Fourth-Grade will have yearbook signing/pizza
      party in café.
 - Yearbooks will be handed out to students on
      Monday.  There are more available
for purchase in the office for students and staff ($20 each).
 - There is milk available (white and chocolate), per Cindi Good
(free) if this would help with your students’ lunch in the classroom.  Jan will be in the kitchen, so please
let her know if you’d like some milk for your students.
 - 1 pm--Traditional "Good-bye" to Students at dismissal as
buses loop a few times around the circle and we wave our good-byes.
It would be wonderful to have all staff members join in this
     tradition!
 - 5 pm--WHS Graduation.  (If
you RSVP’d to walk in the procession, the line-up is at 4:15 pm)

CALENDAR FOR STAFF:
Other “Housekeeping Items”---
·       Orders for Supplies (from certified staff)
should be into the office by June 30 if you need these supplies to start off
the new school year.  (Please see earlier
e-mail re: this. Also, please remember that it is NOT necessary to spend all of
that allotment ($275) before the school year as you may want to re-order as the
year goes along.)
·       Laptops can be kept over the summer.  Ben will push out information re: an update,
which you can accept on your computer and updates will be automatic. No
collection of technology unless you won’t be returning in August.
·       Room keys should be turned into the
office.  The office and school will be
open during the summer from 7 am until 6 pm, and we ask that you buzz through
the front door so that we can welcome you and know who is in the building.  We don’t have construction projects going on
this summer, but if there is any reason why you can’t be in a certain area of
the school, we will let you know.
·       There are only a few people who will be
moving rooms.  If you are one of these
people, we will make arrangements directly with you.  Otherwise, please make sure that table tops
are emptied so that our custodians can clean all surfaces and move furniture to
clean the room.
Please let me know anything
that I might have missed : )
